I'm Yannick, the creator of SnapFlyer and a long-time frog keeper myself. I used to dread feeding time. Shaking fruit flies out of setups that relied on expensive specialty lids and cups was a nightmare—flies everywhere, wasted culture, and a spouse who was (rightfully) furious as my frog room took over.

Yes—many keepers use SnapFlyer only for dispensing flies they already bought. Grab a culture at Josh's Frogs, PetSmart, Petco, or similar, then get a commercial culture lid customized to your cup. Tell us your brand in the short personalization survey or send a photo on Instagram—different brands have slightly different rims, so we build the lid to snap on yours.

Pro-Froggy is for higher-volume feeding—dart frog vivariums or multiple hungry spiderlings. Nano-Spoody taps out a few flies at a time for one jumping spider, mantis, or small frog. Traditional setups often mean buying integrated specialty lids again and again. SnapFlyer is one reusable lid—you keep the hardware and only replace vent pads (and cups if you choose). The 6-cup + 18-pad refill bundle restocks a rack at well below typical market prices.

The lid is reusable—rinse with cold water only when a culture is finished and before you start a new one (a soft brush helps). Vent pads are disposable: swap in a fresh pad for each new culture in about two seconds. Cups and Ball jars can be washed with hot water; plastic cups can also be replaced from our refill bundle. Traditional specialty lids make sense for large-scale fruit fly operations or pet stores that ship flies. For the average home keeper, integrated fabric lids aren't built for repeat use—you discard the whole lid each round. With SnapFlyer's patent-pending system you reuse the durable lid and only discard the vent pad per culture. Many keepers find that cleaner than washing integrated specialty setups.
